Morning Walk

Just been for a little walk with the dogs. We had a good journey here yesterday but there was some snow.
We brought both Tom and Tess so the will be lots of ball game.

New Stawberry Crowns

Today I managed to get some mowing done. This is the first cut of the year for me. Its quite surprising how much grass there was to remove. I reckon I should have done it a few weeks ago.

Also today I took delivery of ten Sonata strawberry crowns. I intend to grow these on as early indoor plants.

Not like a razor

The weather continues to be cold after another hard frost last night so today I did some more indoor jobs. I've sown some Petunia's and aubrietia, finished off painting the bench and sharpened the blades on the tractor cutting deck. I also had my routine jobs to attend to and these seem to be ever growing so all in all I have kept myself busy. The tractor has to cut a lot of rough ground as well as the occasional lawn so the blades were in need of a sharpen. They don't have to be like a razor so it's just a matter of grinding off the rough edges and making sure to keep them as balanced as you can. I did one but one is never to sure about the other.
