One thing I miss.

People have asked me many time if the is anything I miss from my farming days, and apart from the big boys toys I had to play with I have to tell them there is little else I really miss. Then this morning as I was shaking out the sheep's hay I recalled something else I miss, a barn full of newly baled hay. Anyone who has walked by a barn full of new hay will know what I mean, I think the smell is as good as anything there is. I wish someone would produce a scented candle the that smells of new hay - maybe I should make one.

I'm looking forward to your new mown hay candle...I agree there's nothing better then that wonderful smell. Raking it, baling it and getting it in the barn...fun!

LOL. I'm surprised they haven't come up with that candle yet...they seem to have every other smell!

Hi Rob ~~I am unable to smell things anymore - good or bad and Imiss it.
Thank you for the advice about the lemon tree. I do feed it with a complete fertilizer which probably has nitrogen in it. I will get some other food for it.
Thanks for your comments on my doctor's visit. I am glad to wait a while as it has been a big year for me health-wise and I need a break.
My freshened garden looks nice and has cheered me up.. Take care my friend, Regards, Merle.

I know what you mean. I was raised on a Manitoba farm in the Red River Valley. It has a wonderful aroma.
