Damson tree in bloom.

The Damson tree by the lily pond is coming into full bloom so I'm hope the frosts don't return and spoil things for later in the year.

Mum's Birthday.

Today is my mum's birthday so me and Vicki have driven down to Chesterfield to meet up with the family and have a Chinese meal.

Unfortunately I have come down with a cold but I'm not going to let it get me down.

Sheep update.

The sheep that I was concerned about yesterday seems to be going on ok. It still attracts my attention but it's chewing its cud this morning which is supposes to be a good sign.

Its the first full mowing day of the season today so got to get a move on or I won't get done.

Roof Shelf

This morning I have put up the roof shelf in the cool greenhouse. Eventually this will have strawberry plants on it but for the time being its a good place to put the seedlings before they get pricked out. They don't get eaten by slugs when up there.

Mothering Sunday

Today I have traveled home to see my mum as it's Mothering Sunday here in the UK. I have brought with me lots of flowers and plants from eveyone some of which are for her birthday which is on the 23rd.

I don't know if you remember but I pruned some of the roses back in November which is not really the recommended time for rose pruning so I thought that as I'm working on the rose beds today I would take a minute to show you how they got on. As you will see they took no harm from having an early trim, in fact they are more advanced than the ones I pruned at the so called right time.

The Garden (March).

I'm a bit late posting this months picture, it was taken on the 6th when we got back from our break in Exmouth.

It's already time for the third  picture of our garden. There isn't a lot of change from last month.

We have just had lunch and a walk along the sea front at Seaton. I think that Sidmouth is the nicer place but its okay here, especially as its a nice sunny day.

We arrived safe and sound.

We've arrived at our hotel and are just getting settled in to our room. We get a three course meal and a glass of wine included in the package so we will be going to take advantage of that soon. All this sitting around letting other people do all the work is actually quite tiring.

The Journey.

We are still traveling but not far to go now. Its really nice traveling by coach. Normally when we go away I drive and all I really see is the road and what is going on in relation to the driving. Also in the coach we have a birds eye view. Of course another advantage is I get to send this little message to you.

We have departed on our holiday. It was hard saying goodbye to the dogs but Fallon is looking after them so they will be okay. We have arrived at our interchange and just waiting to board out tour coach to Exmouth.

We have spent the afternoon packing and preparing for our long weekend away in Exmouth. Not really sure why but it actually feels quite draining, perhaps its the excitment.

Today we are busy shopping, we came for a new suitcase and somehow ended up in the clothes department buying clothes. Vicki is doing her catwalk impression at the moment. I would take a picture for you but with it being outside the changing rooms I might get arressed or something.
