Doc asked me a while back when do I take down the insulation in the greenhouses. Well a lot depends on the weather but I like to remove it as soon as possible so as to let in the light and also to aid ventilation on sunny days. This year I have just removed it from the cool house and if things carry on the way they are I will removed it from the hot house in the next couple of weeks.

Great information Rob and so very kind of you to respond with a post. Last night it was cold enough to leave a good layer of frost on my car bonnet and glass so perhaps I should leave mine a little longer.

I don't think it hurts to leave it on a little longer which I have done in the hot house which is full of pot plants, but as long as they don't get frosted the seedlings in the cold house need the light and also good ventilation which is not so easy to provide with the insulation covering all the vents.
